In prideful celebration of
their culture and heritage, resourceful Minot residents have extended
the scope of their magic to create a number of annual events gaining regional
and national attention:
JANUARY
KMOT TV Ag Expo, 701-852-4101, offers
exhibitors from North Dakota, surrounding states and Canada the opportunity
to exhibit the latest technology and equipment in farming.
FEBRUARY
ND Tech Expo – ND State Fair Center – view
the latest in technology as Governor John Hoeven and Minot Area Chamber
of Commerce bring you this statewide event featuring a nationally known

is a car show, trade show, swap meet; if it has wheels you'll find it

MARCH
KXMC Sports & RV Show – view recreational products and exhibits and attend seminars given by professionals from throughout North Dakota, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. 701-852-2104
Home and Garden Show, 701-852-0496, is
a two day event sponsored by the Minot Association of Builders. It features
home and garden displays.
Prairie Quilt Festival – 701-838-7270 – Grand International
APRIL
The Big One Arts & Crafts Fair, 701-837-6059 or 839-0874,
is held at the State Fair Center in the spring and again in the fall.
Over 400 crafters display and sell their creations.
Shrine Circus, 701-857-4730, takes place
at the Minot Municipal Auditorium.
Trestle Valley Marathon, 852-0141, is an annual event that takes runners through the natural beauty and scenic settings of rural North Dakota.
MAY
Drag Racing – ND State Fairgrounds – 701-838-6464
JUNE
Roughrider Rodeo Association, 701-624-5267, features contestants from
the area as well as the surrounding region.
JULY
Festival of the Parks, 701-857-4166, is an annual Fourth of July event
with musical entertainment, and arts and crafts displays.
North Dakota
State Fair, 701-857-7620, welcomes more than a quarter of a million people
each year. Lasting nine days, it is North Dakota's main summer event.
Exhibits, livestock shows, carnival activities and big-name entertainment
are waiting for those who attend.
MSU's Summer Theatre, 701-858-3178, The Minot State University outdoor theatre allows you to enjoy musicals and other productions in a unique atmosphere.
AUGUST
The Great Tomato Festival, 701-258-2212,
is held at the North Dakota State Fair Center.
Great food and a silent auction are featured at this fundraiser.
SEPTEMBER
Festival on Main ,

Motor Magic,
701-857-7620, is the biggest motor sports event in the upper midwest.
OCTOBER
Norsk
Høstfest, 852-2368, is a nationally acclaimed event. The festival
features authentic Scandinavian entertainment, popular headliners, ethnic
food and crafts. Hundreds of booths are packed with unique gifts from
five Nordic countries.
Y's Men's Indoor Pro Rodeo, 852-0141,
is an annual Pro Rodeo featuring cowboys/cowgirls from around the nation
and Canada.
NOVEMBER
The Big One Art & Crafts Fair, 701-837-6059 or 701-839-0874,
is held at the State Fair Center and features holiday crafts.
DECEMBER
Renaissance Christmas Feast, 858-4213, an invitation from the Lord of the Manor for an English Christmas
Feast.
