To continue the great news for Minot, United Airlines announced February 15th they will begin service to Minot beginning June 9th with two direct flights from Minot to Denver daily. Denver International Airport operates more than 400 daily departures so this service allows Minot business travelers as well as leisure travelers, access to hundreds of destinations served by United and its partners around the world. “We appreciate United Airlines adding these flights from Minot to Denver,” said ND Governor John Hoeven. “Service to western destinations in the United States is important to travelers but is also important as we continue to build our energy industry and other businesses in North Dakota.” “We agree! said Ron Ness, president of the North Dakota Petroleum Council. This is big news for the oil industry. “ West bound air service has been a priority for both the Mayor of Minot and Minot’s Air Service Task Force Committee. Mayor Zimbelman said he was thrilled with the announcements from both Delta and United and feels both airlines have the opportunity to do well in Minot especially with all of the growth happening in Minot and northwest North Dakota.
